User Instructions:


1. Mount master X-Jaws as usually to the correct diameter.

2. Mount modular alum soft X-Jaws insert to the correct master jaw # 1 2 3 

(Keep matching sets to keep things repeatable, use face A or B on all 3 jaws).

3. Use setscrew to lock soft jaw in place, (8-10 in/lb).

4. Mill or turn soft X-Jaw with pin or ring spacer as usual.

(Use same jaw clamping pressure for turning soft jaw and clamping part).


Switch out soft jaw inserts for different jobs in 30 sec without the need of removing complete jaw sets and cleaning and remounting different jaw sets and T-nuts.

Main spindle collet chucks are a good fit for bar stock diameters and tool clearance.


Sub spindle is a diffrent story:

When the part gets transferred on to the sub spindle the part usually has a random diameter or shape that needs to be matched by the form jaw to get good results on run out and 

not leaving none confirming hard jaw marks on the part.
