Is there any additional wiring required to the CNC machine control?
No, it was specifically designed without any need to wire up your CNC controller. You only need an automatic door controlled by an M code in your program.
Do we need air and power on the 5th Axis table?
No, we do not need air on the table. This is a huge benefit on most machines that are not equipped with the option of air signal and power on the trunnion table.
If you have air and signal you could purchase the new 5th Axis automation base and remove the allen hex key from the gripper, this would speed up the pallet change time.
Where do we purchase the UR10 CB3?
The UR Robot is available for purchase directly from Swiss Precision Tooling.
If you buy it from us, we will pre-calibrate the robot with the system before shipment.
Why a UR10 CB3 and not the new UR10e?
We have been using the UR10 CB3 for the past two years. We are developing new robot adapter flanges for the EnduroLoader Pro to use with other future robot partners.
What is the maximum payload of the unit?
The maximum payload of the UR10 unit is 22lbs minus the weight of the gripper, 6lbs, which gives you 16lbs of usable payload.
What is the cycle time to switch pallets?
Approximately 1 minute 30 seconds.
How long does typical setup and integration take?
Approximately 2 days, everything is ready to plug and play including the hoses, wires, switches, etc.
What is the lead time for a complete setup?
The typical lead time is 15 days to 20 days.
How easy is it to get replacement parts?
We typically have spare parts on our shelves and can ship them out within 1-2 days.
Who could find this setup most beneficial?
Small and medium job-shops can take advantage of using the EnduroLoader Pro. Seamlessly transition from prototype to production with our system.
What would be the best machine type for the EnduroLoader Pro system?
The EnduroLoader Pro was designed to be used with 5 axis trunnion table machines, it can be used on 3 axis machines as well.
What footprint would I need for the EnduroLoader Pro system?
The EnduroLoader Pro has the industry-leading, smallest footprint at 50" x 54" that gives you full and complete access to your machine without a safety cage.
What is the benefit of using pallets instead of just loading raw material?
By using pallets, there is no need to change, grippers, jaws, waypoints, cleaning procedures ....
You only need to modify the payload on the user input screen, that is the only variable that changes.
Why do we use 5th Axis products?
5th Axis is a proven, successful, zero point work-holding system. We have found 5th axis to be repeatable and a great fit for our system.
Seamlessly going from prototype to production. We are a OEM and partner of 5th axis work-holding.
How do we bring to market such a cost efficient robotic system?
The EnduroLoader Pro was born out of necessity by a CNC machine shop, there was nothing available on the market to fit that niche. Currently it is a direct sale structure, keeping the cost down.
Why do we need a separate power/pneumatic box system?
The UR10 only has a total of 1 amp combined usage for all of its io's. If the current draws more, you will have problems and might damage an expensive system.
We have a separate power supply that runs 24v up to 10 amps, that will handle all the solenoids for the complete system, including the NC push button device. Minimum Air requirement is 60 psi.
