The Pallet Docking System can be placed in 3 different pin patterns,

to achieve 4, 5 or 6 pallet docks per shelf

To accommodate very wide parts, you should run 4 docks per shelf

For small and mid-sized parts, you should run 6 docks and 3 shelves

This can be easily changed to suit your needs
